The Muriel Richardson Auditorium reopens after major renovations, including new carpet, stage curtains, sound system, as well as audience seating created by famed designer Charles Eames (1907–1978). Gustavo da Roza, the architect who designed the WAG, had selected Eames chairs for the original design. According to da Roza, when the project's buget got tight, he was able to get a cut rate deal from his old friend Eames.
