The exhibition Hindsight: William Hind in the Canadian West opens on May 1. 

[William Hind (1833–1889) is considered to have been one of the most enigmatic Canadian artists working in the 19th century. He spent a total of eight years in Western Canada and was in Winnipeg at the arrival of the Wolseley expedition and the beginning of the Red River Resistance (1869–1870).]
