Opening on September 30, Portraits, Mirror of Man, organized by the Gallery, features work from lenders such as the National Gallery of Canada, Royal Ontario Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The exhibition includes 104 portrait paintings, prints, sculptures, and decorative arts by an international array of historical and contemporary artists, from Albrecht Durer (1471–1528) and Anthony van Dyck (1599–1641) to Johann Zoffany (1733–1810) and John Singer Sargent (1856–1925); from Frederick Varley (1881–1969) and Prudence Heward (1896–1947) to Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919) and Stanley Spencer (1891–1959).
