During the summer and fall, the WAG organizes five diverse travelling exhibitions in an effort to bring its collection to a national audience.

The exhibitions range from the historical Canada on Canvas, to the contemporary The Winnipeg Alphabestiary; from photography-based Richard Harrington: Arctic Photographer, to a pair of exhibitions of Inuit art: Nunavik: North of 60° and Kiugak Ashoona: Stories and Imaginings from Cape Dorset. They travel to venues in Alberta, Newfoundland, and Ontario.
