On November 24, PostSecret, an exhibition of a community arts initiative by American Frank Warren, consisting of 400 postcards, opens.
In November 2004, Warren began inviting people to submit a secret on a postcard anonymously. The response was overwhelming. Within a month, Warren received more than 150 postcards, which were displayed at an art exhibition in Washington D.C. To provide a forum for what became an ongoing project, Warren created a blog, where he shared a selection of new, choice secrets each week, as well as a series of best-selling books. The exhibition—held over an extra six weeks—and Warren’s pair of talks to almost 700 people at the WAG, proves immensely popular.
