The Gallery begins an international film series, which carries into 1978, exploring sexuality in cinema.

Films range from the silent classic Sex (1920; Fred Niblo) to Weimar Republic-era masterpieces such as Die Buchse Der Pandora (1928; G. W. Pabst) and Der Blaue Engell (1930; Josef Von Sternberg), to more recent award-winning films such as Alfie (1966; Lewis Gilbert).
