Children playing at the WAG, c. 1975. Winnipeg Art Gallery.

The Gallery’s Art Education Department begins its Come Do-Come See classes for children.

The Come Do-Come See program offers art classes for children in the summer, fall, and winter, representing a vast expansion of the original Saturday Morning Art Classes and the beginnings of the Gallery's present-day WAG Studio. Many of the studio instructors are drawn from the University of Manitoba’s School of Art, and come to include some of the province’s best known future artists including Wanda Koop, Janice Gurney, Suzanne Gauthier, and Aliana Au.
