In the fall of 1977, I was attending classes at the U of W, taking Canadian Art History with Ann Davis at the WAG classroom. The new and first professional Librarian for the WAG was also attending these classes. He was so knowledgeable that I was a little unsure of what to say to him, but I found him and what he knew attractive. Over time we became friends, and I did a one year cataloguing of the artworks in the vault at that time. The Librarian's name is David Rozniatowski and we have been married for over 25 years and have 2 sons. David remained at the gallery from 1977 to 1990, setting up what still is an incredible wealth of information in the library. One of my favourite moments was when our older son, who was 16 months old at the time, visited his Dad in the gallery, crawled backwards down the stairs to the foyer and stood up looking in amazement at the wonderful tapestries and said "Look" which echoed in the empty foyer. Dr. Eckhardt (Director Emeritus) laughed when we told him of this event.
